“Now, Bush blames India for rising food prices” – Times Of India 03/05/08

An American lady purchased a brand new, fully loaded, top-of-line Mercedes Benz. The very next day she drove it back to the dealer complaining non-functioning music system. The dealer realised that he had failed to administer the PIN code. Profusely apologetic, he immediately corrected the problem. The lady still could not find the controls; she was informed that the system was fully automatic and voice accentuated. All that she needed to do was to take the name of the composition and she would be treated to one. She promptly said “Elvis Presley” – resonating romantic voice of “Elvis the Great” filled the car. Happy she drove off. At the next block she said “Tina Turner” and was promptly treated to “What’s Luv Gotta do with it …”. She continued driving when a rough driver suddenly overtook her from the wrong side and cut the lane, “Stupid fool” she swore loudly. The radio immediately took the clue and changed station. “Ladies & Gentlemen, this is George Bush, the President of United states of America for you from the daily press conference at … “, announced the anchor.

This was the popular joke doing round on the Internet when Americans began to realise the kind of “guy” they have put in the White House. Of course, why was he elected for the second term is a classic American conundrum which can be understood only by those who are born in the US of A.

Nevertheless what’s your problem Prez? Our forefathers have taken good care of you and your fellow citizen. In my country of a billion human beings, majority do not eat “Beef” and those who eat Beef do not touch “Pork “ or “Ham” and that is all that you and your fellow citizen eat. In short, Prez you need not worry, no matter how much we eat your food will be untouched.
By the way thanks a ton for this parting gag. It shall surely secure a prominent place in the thick fat book of “Bushisms” and will continue to entertain our children and children of our children.
